Saturday, 12th July started just like any chill Saturday should. I woke up feeling okay. No stress, no rush. I had breakfast, scrolled on my phone a bit, and even thought, this day’s going smooth. Everything was good until 2 PM.
That’s when my body suddenly flipped the script.
First, my feet started hurting. It was strange. Not tired or sore just painful in a weird way. A few minutes later, I started feeling like I had a fever. My energy dropped, my body felt heavy, and something just didn’t feel right.
Then it got worse.
I had a real fever. My head was hot, my body was cold, and everything felt off. I took a paracetamol and lay down to rest. But by night, new symptoms joined the party cold, non-stop sneezing, and soon ear pain. Yes, even my ear got involved like it didn’t want to be left out.
And just when I was wondering what else could go wrong? my brother, who works in medicine, came over. He checked my blood pressure. It was 60 way too low. I’ve never had BP issues before. And my heart rate? 100. That combo was not fun to hear.
At that point I was like, Okay, am I dying? Is this the end credits scene of my life?
I put ear drops in. Later, I took another medicine for the fever and body pain, because honestly, my whole body was screaming. Everything started to move in slow motion like time had slowed down and I was stuck in it.
But finally slowly I started feeling a little better around 2 AM. Just enough to close my eyes and get some sleep.
The next morning, I woke up still tired, but better. And super grateful.
Because honestly? That Saturday felt like the wildest health ride I’ve ever been on. From foot pain to fever, sneezing to ear pain, low BP to fast heartbeat all in one day. It really felt like my body just gave up on me for 12 straight hours.
But that chaos taught me something.
I need to be more mindful of my body. Health really is wealth. I’ve been ignoring the basics like eating properly, drinking enough water, exercising regularly. No more. I need to eat balanced meals, move my body, and treat it like it actually matters.
Because you never know when a normal Saturday turns into a health horror movie.
Take care of yourself, friends. Our body is not just our ride, it’s our only ride.
