One of the gems I found at Clutter Magazines Five Point Festival was this intriguing little card game “Someone Has Died”.

The premise is simple: One player is an estate adjuster, the arbitrator for the recently deceased. The other players choose cards that give them a backstory and relationship to the imaginary decedent.
Players act out their roles making claim to the estate in creative ways. The player with the most compelling argument wins the estate!

It has many rules that you can adhere to closely or not. That’s the beauty and genius of the game. My kids, ages 10 and 8, and I loved playing and the bickering, pleading and bald-faced subterfuge made for an entertaining 45 minutes!

The Kickstarter campaign for Someone Has Died starts on September 7th and will run until October 7th. I’ll have more info and an interview with creator Adi Slepack in an upcoming All Things Geek!
