Remember when Ted Cruz seemed to have some integrity? When there seemed to be a glimmer of hope that the GOP might still have some fight in it? That was just a couple of months ago his supporters cheered, Trump seethed and the leadership panicked.
Well flush all that down the toilet, because Cruz just folded like a cheap table.

When asked the next day why he didn’t endorse Trump, but instead said people should “vote your conscience,” Cruz responded that, “[I’m not going to] come like a servile puppy dog and say, ‘thank you very much for maligning my wife and maligning my father.'” So what happened to Ted?
Well first of all Ted wants to run for president again, and he’s hedging his bets that Trump will lose and that he can regain some support by endorsing this train wreck. Secondly, Reince Priebus, the GOP Chairman, has stated that any GOP candidates that don’t endorse Trump will be risking future support from the RNC. Reminding them of a ridiculous blood oath all of the Republic candidates took early in the primary season. See where this is going? The funny thing is Trump had even said, before securing the nomination, that he might not honor the pledge and there was even talk of him running third-party.
So Cruz, who’s wife, father, and heritage have all been attacked and maligned by Trump has now decided to tuck his tail and lick the boots of the Republican powers that be and Trump himself. Where is the integrity in this? Where is the hope for the return of a principled GOP? For voters that have been hanging on for dear life it seems it is time to let go.

This isn’t about supreme court nominees, this isn’t about conservative policies. This is about political collateral and prepping to run in 2020. It doesn’t matter the threat that Trump poses, and it doesn’t matter what you said just a few weeks ago. Ted Cruz you are a political opportunist, pure and simple. And apparently you have no conscience.
I hope history remembers you as the coward you are.

“It’s still early in the day after his announcement so opinions are still pouring into social but it’s looking like the scales are tilting away from Cruz. Maybe Trump was correct in labeling him “Lyin’ Ted” if he’s now going to vote for his once arch rival. Maybe the promise of a Supreme Court nomination was worth a little crow. Maybe. To surface these opinions we pulled out all references to endorsement to filter down just to opinion on Ted Cruz.” – Howard K. 30dB

Oops! googled servile puppy dog and found this page, but see by the title and the few comments, not a place for women to view or comment. Sorry!
Dang, John! I thought YOU were calling Ted a servile puppy which would be over the line as far as insults go… but you just reminded us that he called himself a servile puppy; which is ok I guess if one is a politician . And being a spineless arrogant condescending dusche is also ok; if you are Ted.
Gee. Perhaps he just looked around and saw a completely detestable Democrat party, filled with obfuscation and lies, one who rigged the polls to make sure old bernie didn’t make the cut, one who made financial relations with all sorts of people who maintain true misogyny, homophobia and much, much worse, and just plain old decided that it is true, our country is at a watershed moment and just maybe he loves his country enough to put all of his personal feelings aside to make an at least a small attempt to save it.
Not hardly. Nice try though.
