Day 6
The last thought that ran through my brain last night (as I was trying to grasp the gravity of my situation) was that I hadn’t stayed the night at my parent’s house since the night before my wedding day.
How sad and real of a memory that was.
Now that I’ve spent six days in the trenches, I’m compelled to hold you, other moms, out there tightly (also in the divorce trenches) and say, it’s okay if you don’t know what the fuck you’re doing. Stand your ground, listen to your gut, don’t act on your emotions, use your logic (for your kids’ sake), and get through the day one hour at a time.
“A wise woman once said:
‘Fuck this shit.’
And she lived happily ever after.” — Somewhere on Instagram
