The Next Advancement Is Us

A new phone is released
Let the lines begin!
AI has mastered a new concept
Let wonder and dread begin!
We perceive ourselves to be shrinking smaller and smaller
Humanity thinks it is obsolete
Fearful that we will be replaced
Change is inevitable
And for sure it must be terrible!
But have you ever met a human heart?
Don’t you know the next advancement is us?
Questioning our fears
Until we discover that small form casting the large shadow
Realizing our limits are outdated
And our new beliefs have only just begun
We look at our daily lives
With certainty that this is how it is
That we largely know this day is like any other
But how many people questioned what was for them
To make what is for you so much better?
Who is to say each of us cannot do the same!
Technology is just a tool
It is humanity who chooses to use that tool
Our minds and our hearts are invaluable tools
Could not our peace far outperform a material device?
Our guts have a good moment now and then
Leading us to an adventure with pleasant surprises
…I never thought I could do that
I never thought I would be that type of person
I never thought that was an option for me…
But then it was! And then you excelled!
And for one moment you realized how new you could be
What if these moments were the daily instead of the exception?
What if we realized how much we are capable of?
Not out of fear or pressure or scarcity
But out of love and passion and the lure of mystery
What if our greatest advancement is to expand our horizons within?
The best faiths in the world leave some room for mystery
What if part of the mystery is you?
And limits you learned were more appearance than authentic?
What if the best of the mysteries is you?
