Set your expectations low on Valentine’s Day or on any holiday for that matter! That way, everything–even a visit from a cat or a dog wanting to nap at your side–becomes a wonderful, happy surprise. Usually, the best gift for Valentine’s Day or on any holiday is some form of food. Happy Valentine’s Day, all!

When you have young children, especially a baby, Valentine’s Day is a dedicated evening for date night and babysitting from the grandparents. I wouldn’t write it off in this particular life situation.
So often guys wonder what gift they can give. They rack their brain. What did they give last year? Do they have to get something different or somehow more impressive. They ask friends. They think about it. Feel guilty that maybe they haven’t done enough. There are definitely some women who enjoy gifts. However, I believe the majority of us would like you. Just you.
