Hello, Mr. President.
I see the MSM, which I’m assuming means the “mainstream media”, has frustrated you again complaining about your use of social media. As someone from the non-mainstream-media, I thought I’d offer the rest of our perspectives, as well.
First, I’d like you to breathe in deeply, wipe the crusties from your eyes, and wake up. It wasn’t a nightmare, you really are the President. And as such, Presidents have a slightly different barometer for how much their words weigh. For example, seven-score and fourteen years ago, (that means 154 in fancy speak) another Republican President stood on a battlefield and said some words which had a pretty big impact on domestic policy. He just said them out loud, proclaimed if you will, to a group of a few hundred followers and suddenly, without an executive order, without the approval of Congress, the whole world changed.
Because a President (that’s you!) said it, it happened.
Now, that’s a pretty powerful tool, so you should be careful proclaiming things. In Lincoln’s case, he stood on the authority of Commander in Chief (that’s you too!) during a wartime crisis.
So, obviously, the correlation (that means two things that are connected!) is pretty hyperbolic (that means exaggerated for effect!) but I wanted to show you that words are important.
Secondly, another Republican President was pretty big on taping what he said in private and it turns out those words can have a big impact on policy as well, because the Legislative Branch (that’s one of three branches that makes up our Federal Government. They’re annoying, I know, but they’re not going anywhere.) passed a law called the Presidential Records Act of 1978 that says EVERYTHING a President does or says is part of the historical record and can’t be altered or destroyed. That covfefe thing… that’s gunna stick around a while. Also, make sure you fill in Mike, ‘cause this thing applies to him too.
So while the FAKE, very FAKE media, is urging you to stop tweeting, it’s not so much because we’re worried you’re going to say something we disagree with to your bigly huge tremendous followers. We’ve kind of accepted that as a given. For those of us on the opposite political ideology, the more you tweet inane (that’s dumb, very dumb) stuff, the better chances we have next election.
So now that you’ve been made aware of the power of Presidential Proclamation and the Presidential Records Act… apparently, for the first time… we’d like to present our argument for your not using social media:
What the President of the United States says matters, domestically and around the world. Tweeting threats to North Korea, Iran, France, Germany, England, or to whomever the villain of the day is, creates a clear and present danger to our domestic tranquility.
Insulting world leaders who have rubbed you the wrong way in 160 characters undermines the dignity of the Office you hold.
Tweeting easily debunkable “alterative facts” destroys the already crumbling trust of the Electorate in the authority of the Executive Branch.
While in the end, it is history that will judge us, most of us would like to be around to see it judged. It’s not just the FAKE MSM who wants you to stop, the rest of us do too.
Post Script:
This just in: It seems there’s a rumor floating around that you want to “live tweet” Former Director Comey’s testimony. Please don’t. See above.

The FAKE MSM is working so hard trying to get me not to use Social Media. They hate that I can get the honest and unfiltered message out.
