Daily Mo Update
This thing is starting to shape up! And as much as it bothers me (and the family, lol) it’s starting to…grow on me….see what I did there? Anywho, now that I’m more acclimated to the climate, the cold isn’t to bad and the breeze actually feels good on my face. Now I know what Aaron Rodgers was thinking back in the day.
Movember Awareness
Movember is moving along splendidly, but we’re still pretty far from our goal! We’re making this a special Movember by striving to raise 2k, and on top of that a little something special at the end! Every dollar counts, and we appreciate you all chipping in and spreading the love and awareness about these issues!

Daily Mo Update
No Mo news to report.
Here’s a rarely discussed mental issue: phobia. No matter what you are afraid of, silly or understandable, your instinct is to avoid that fear at all costs. Don’t like heights? Avoid theme parks and tall buildings. Problem solved, right? Nope. Avoiding the fear actually makes your anxiety worse because you’re empowering it. Exposing yourself to the fear will normalize it, like getting used to cold water in a pool. Eventually you’ll learn to grow more comfortable with your fear. If you want to check out some weird fears or learn about how you might’ve inherited your fears from your parents, check out this men’s health article (www.menshealth.com/health/8-

Daily Mo Update
For the past several weeks, the days have been rough. I have been struggling with picking up my life again after ending a long relationship. I’ve realized that I function better single. I’m more at peace, less anxious, less depressed, more apt to do things I wouldn’t normally do and adventure to places I wouldn’t normally go— I guess I just ‘live’ more. Now, the question is raised: is this the case because I just haven’t been in a healthy relationship yet in my life? The answer is most likely, yes. I’m a firm believer that you should be able to truly be yourself when you are with someone. If you can’t, then you shouldn’t be with them.
Movember Awareness
Men’s health applies to more than just their physical well being. You need to move to stay healthy, but you also need to realize when you are causing yourself more harm than good. Here is a list of 10 things men tell themselves to stay in relationships that are abusive or at the very least affecting their lives negatively:
1. I’m strong. I can take it.
2. It’s not that bad.
3. If I just work a little harder at the relationship, it will get better.
4. All relationships have conflict. Conflict is healthy.
5. Things will get better if I’m more patient and pay closer attention to his/her needs and feelings.
6. Sex and affection shouldn’t be this important to me.
7. Love conquers all.
8. He/She’s being this way because I’m not being good enough for him/her.
9. I made a commitment and I honor my commitments.
10. This is better than being alone.
The saying that anything worth having is not easily attained doesn’t apply to relationships with people. That applies to goals and dreams; a relationship between a person and an abstract thought or goal. Relationships aren’t always easy… but there should never be a point when you are reciting these things to yourself. If you realize that you are… it’s time to go.
Men, just like women, become stuck in abusive relationships. If you know someone that is, do your best to help them see how it’s hurting them.
