It never feels like a film. There is no epic speech or rain kiss. Love for an introvert starts with quietude. A look. An idea they never let out. A fleeting moment that no one else knows, but in their heart, it is an earthquake.
I knew a boy who kept his feelings like notes written on paper. He never talked to her; however, he escorted her home every day. He did it with an air of nothing.
She teased him for being quiet, unaware that he remembered every joke she made and every step she lost along the way.
This is how introverts love. Keep things quiet and steady instead of being too loud. They will sing you a song at midnight without you asking them why. They will write an anonymous note in your journal because they like to speak for themselves when the room is empty.
And what of the confession? That is the most difficult part. Their head whispers the words a thousand times. When the time comes, their tongue becomes tight. At times, they don’t even speak.
They just keep coming back, waiting for that day when you will understand the reason behind their silence. k.
If you have ever been loved in this way, you get it. It is safe. It’s being chosen softly and with no demands. And if you’re an introvert and don’t want to speak up, know that your love is enough. You don’t have to be perfect or loud. You just have to be yourself.
