When two people are deeply in love, the worst thing is being apart. They want to be together every second of every day. But sometimes, for different reasons, couples have to be apart.
Being alone in another city while your partner is away is tough. You miss them dearly.
You’re lonely, especially at night. Some people can’t handle the loneliness and cheat.
But that’s wrong. It’s a terrible thing to do. If you truly love your partner, you can handle the separation.
It’s true that being apart for a long time makes it hard to meet your needs. But you should be faithful to your marriage. Don’t cheat to deal with your feelings.
So what can you do? These three women share their solutions. Maybe their answers will help you too.
Lisa: Embrace Your Alone Time
“I enjoy my slow, quiet time by myself. I can think clearly about life and be alone with my thoughts.”
Smart women don’t get angry or lonely when they’re apart. Instead, they see it as a chance to be alone. They know their marriage is strong because they trust and love each other deeply.
This alone time is precious.
Smart women use this time wisely and do things they love. Lisa is one of them. While her husband is away, she works hard during the day. At night, she reads, watches movies, and improves herself. On weekends, she hangs out with friends and enjoys their company.
For Lisa, her husband’s trips don’t affect her much. She has her own life. Her husband isn’t her whole world. She has her own way of living, and that’s smart.
Sarah: Choose Divorce
Many people think long-distance relationships always end in breakups. The couple can’t see each other often, so arguments happen. But because they’re apart, they can’t resolve the issues. This can change the relationship for the worse. That’s what happened to Sarah.
Sarah and her husband have a child. When her husband went on a business trip for a few months, she was alone with the baby. Her husband didn’t help at all. In fact, he acted like he was doing her a favor by leaving the baby and his parents with Sarah. He didn’t help, but he did criticize Sarah for not doing things right.
Sarah couldn’t take it anymore. She was lonely and frustrated with her husband’s criticism. So, she divorced him.
Emily: Go to His City
“Sweet words are nice, but I want you by my side.”
Long-distance relationships are tough on everyone. It’s like being separated like Romeo and Juliet. If you can’t handle the loneliness, go to your partner’s city. That’s what Emily did.
Her husband was away for over a month, and she couldn’t handle it. She was feeling emotional, so she decided to fly to his city and spend the rest of his trip with him.
It’s true that nothing beats having the one you love right next to you. If you can’t handle the loneliness, flying to see them is the best choice.
These three women’s different choices teach us a lot. If you’re in a long-distance marriage, you need to make the right choice for you.
