Hey kids, today’s wisdom is on the importance of gaining wisdom, which is why I do these Wisdom Wednesdays. Wisdom is so valuable because it will help you in all areas of your life—your finances, your marriage, your parenting, and just adulting in general. A great source of wisdom can be found in the Book of Proverbs. A proverb is just a short sentence that gives advice or tells you something about life. Most of the book is written by one of the wisest people that ever lived, King Solomon, although ironically, he didn’t always take his own advice.

In Proverbs 3, he says, “Happy is the one who finds wisdom and the one who gains understanding, for her proceeds are better than the profits of silver and her gain than fine gold. Wisdom is more precious than rubies, and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her. Keep sound wisdom and discretion, so they will be life to your soul and grace to your neck.”

There are many pitfalls in life, and gaining wisdom will help keep you from falling into some of them. I hope you have a great day, and God bless you.
