You are forgiven for not knowing something before you could learn it.
You are forgiven for sometimes falling so utterly short.
You are forgiven for being surrounded by people who seem to do a billion things better than you, and yet never being able to figure out how they all do it.
You are forgiven for choosing sad patterns those before you chose and for finding it so difficult to choose a better life for yourself.
You are forgiven for being smaller and more vulnerable than people who have harmed you. You are forgiven for not knowing how to protect yourself and not knowing how to endure what you went through.
You are forgiven for not always being able to see an end to your pain.
You are forgiven for being tired from your burdens and not knowing how to make them lighter.
You are forgiven for each day you have felt like crap and took it out on others either by giving them grief or withholding kindness.
You are forgiven for seeing the world in a horrible light at the expense of kindnesses and good breaks that have happened to you.
You are forgiven for only choosing to believe what facts fit your narratives even though you know there are so many facts that do not support your inner narratives.
You are forgiven for knowing that certain things were so wrong yet not knowing what the right thing was.
You are forgiven for needing to depend upon the kindness of others when you could not do it yourself.
You are forgiven for being overwhelmed by the cruelty in your life and losing sight of the good.
You are forgiven for forgetting how inherently valuable you are.
You are forgiven for always assuming your gifts are worthless and do not compare to the gifts of others.
You are forgiven for freezing in agony instead of taking the small step forward that you are indeed capable of.
You are forgiven for getting lost in yourself and not recognizing the inherent worth of those around you.
You are forgiven for dismissing others’ pain because it cannot possibly compare to your own.
You are forgiven for barricading yourself in limiting beliefs that have worked hard to burn the bridge between you and Hope.
You are forgiven for neglecting yourself and your basic human needs.
You are forgiven for taking for granted your inherent beauty and mistreating it with excessive beauty products and photo filters.
You are forgiven for letting years of untruths in your life determine your perspectives, decisions, hopes, and lack of achievements you dream of.
You are forgiven for not being your own advocate.
You are forgiven for being human and requiring a growing process.
You are forgiven for not having any idea of how much you are loved even when, and perhaps especially when, you cannot feel it.
You are forgiven for not embracing that nothing in this life is an accident. You are here because you belong here. It is valuable to yourself and to others that you be here. This is your life and you have the power to take it in fresh and better directions even if you barely know what the next step is. Do any positive thing that you do know how to do and cling to that good. The next step will come to you when you need it. You’ve got this!
