Created by Jeff Perera of the White Ribbon Campaign, Higher Unlearning seeks to create a sharing space for folks of all walks of life to contribute articles, stories, testimonials, essays, photo essays and videos on how ideas of gender impacting all of us in a variety of ways.

I’m honestly curious, I don’t know anything about him and only read their website.
It’s the campaign. Chivalrous paternalistic attitudes to solving domestic violence by burying head into the sand, expecting men to speak up on women’s issues whilst women don’t even bother pledging to speak up on violence against men. Why on Earth would a man want to pledge only to stop violence against the other gender when that gender isn’t doing the same for them? Pledge to end it all, because anything less is just a pathetic pledge really. You don’t have to receive something in return to do good. In fact, it is because of that mentality that this world is so twisted. Also, pledging the end of violence against women does not mean he only pledges for this. And some women do talk about violence against men.
