Don’t get in line with 25 and pretend you can’t count…
The phrase “GRAND RE-OPENING” has always bothered me. A local grocery store currently has a sign out front announcing theirs and every time I pull into the parking lot I ask myself, “How can it be a re-opening if they never closed?” That being said, welcome to my grand re-opening.
I never closed the blog but I’m back with a vengeance and have new stuff for you. The first thing you’ll (hopefully) notice is the new header and the fact that overall the blog looks more organized. There will be new content every day Monday through Friday and I will be introducing you to some pretty cool people. Don’t worry, I haven’t lost my “charm” and I promise that you will be uniquely entertained.
Some days it will be about parenting my 14-year-old daughter who I affectionately refer to as Drama Queen. Others it will be stories of dating and relationships or reveling you with other assorted tales. No matter what the content it will be from the heart and will give you insight to who I am. If you want to know more about what makes me tick check out my The Crew page.
“So,” you ask. “What kind of new content are we talking about?” I’m glad you asked. Tuesday will rotate between Magnificent Mom and Rad Dads. Each week I pick a parent blogger and ask the questions no one else will ask. Generally that’s because the questions are quirky and irrelevant but not always. Tomorrow we lead off with Cecily K of Uppercase Woman and Babble’s Momcrunch.
Wednesday it will usually be Daddio’s Diner. I recently lost 65 pounds and did it without eating food that tastes like cardboard. How did I do it? If I told you now it would make the series kind of pointless, right? I’ll offer recipes that regular people will want to both cook and eat along with assorted tips, reviews, profiles of famous culinary dudes and chicks plus anything else I come up with.
You will definitely want to show up on Thursday for Happy Hour. There’s no cover charge and each month I give my guest “Bartenders” a topic and let them have at it. April’s topic is Spring Break and I have five people who know how to mix a wicked blog post and who want to share them with you. Other than that I’ll write about whatever happens to pop into my brain.
Beginning Wednesday you can laugh at me weekly over at Sprocket Ink. They asked me to share my irreverent mockery with their readers so I’m indulging them (and you) every Wednesday and Friday, along with occasional bonus content like today’s “When a B is below a D list celebrity.”
Like a grocery store, I’m happy to add you to the Guest List so you can be notified of new content. But unlike a store I won’t keep track of what you buy and sell that info off to the highest bidder. Your odd and random purchases are your own business.
Check out the social buttons at the top of the page and connect with me. Be sure to tell your friends about all the rad-ness over here and if you have 15 items or less you can use the express lane. Don’t get in line with 25 and pretend you can’t count; that’s not cool. There’s always a checkstand open and I’m happy to double any coupons you may have.
Thanks to my Muse for working hard to create the new header.
Love love the new look! Very clean and crisp!
@alfredliveshere Thanks so much. It’s a work in progress and I’m happy with it so far.
The sidebar is definitely cleaner and neater. Good job! I look forward to reading all of the new content and “meeting” the moms and dads you’ll be featuring.
Proud of you sweetheart!
XOXO
@TheMuse Thanks for all your help. It wouldn’t look like this without your header
Loving the new look here – hey they say a change is as good as a vacation … so was it good for you?
@ByWordsMusings Thanks. Like a vacation it was exhausting but overall I think it was good for me and more importantly WILL be great for me. Thanks for commenting,
