Yeah. I’m a day late for Music Monday, but I had to share my Raiders post on Monday for Monday Night Football. My sincere apologies for straying from the schedule.
I’ve been a fan of Blink 182 since 1999’s Enema Of The State album. That’s the one with porn star Janine on the cover. She’s dressed like a naughty nurse and is bustin out some cleavage and puttin on a latex glove, apparently to do a rectal on someone. I’m not a fan of rectal exams, but I’m pretty sure I’d let her do what she had to do back there.
My favorite Blink album is probably 2001’s Take Off Your Pants And Jacket. The title has a nice ring to it. I mean, the only way to properly jacket is to remove your pants, right? I mean, in my experience, that’s how it works best.
After a bit of time off, Mike, Tom and Travis are back and rocking harder than ever with their new little ditty, Up All Night. And not to change the subject, but I’m pretty sure Janine could keep me up all night, if you know what I mean…
Like I said, Blink is back with some new tunes and this one is pretty rockin. Travis wails on the drums and I’ve always liked the lyrical combo of Mike and Tom. Their voices are similar, yet distinctive and I’m a fan of how they trade off the lyrics line by line.
This isn’t gonna be some deep emotional Music Monday post, because this song isn’t all depressing and shit. Listening to this puts me in a decent mood and lately I need all the decent mood I can get. I strongly suggest you give it a peek at the end of this post.
The new album hits Sept. 27 and if this song is any indication of the whole project, I’m gonna dig it in a big way. They’re rolling into Honda Center October 1 and if I were somehow able to score some tix for the show, I’m pretty sure I would be Up All Night rockin out.
There are so many rad Blink songs to choose from that I’m not sure what my all time fav is. What about you? What do you like best about Blink? I wanna know. Also, let me know what you think about this tune.
