Writing, for me, is key to evoking change.
Ever since joining the Good Men Project community I’ve learned what it means to be a better human being by listening and learning from others. Who knew that a simple google search of a resource for finding answers would yield the place for the conversation that no one is having?
I was just starting to find avenues for my writing—and finding, embracing and not looking back from the Good Men Community was the right decision to make. There have been engaging Twitter conversations, where those hearts and re-tweets then affirmed that my ideas mattered. I enjoy its rapid structure when it comes to submitting articles, and there is never a problem if life gets in the way, as it sometimes does.
The Good Men Project in its expansion has also recently rolled out their Social Interest Groups and Convocasts where issues about sexism, racism, political activism, the disposability of men, environmental issues and more are explored by the Good Men Community. Members of the community also hold their own Convocasts on various topics. These calls have been insightful, where also meeting fellow members has been amazing. Like a little family, we have even had our disagreements over issues, but we all ultimately agree that change has to happen in our world.
You can find out more about our ConvoCasts and Social Interest Groups here. I hope you join us!
