I’ve been working out for quite some time and tried all kinds of techniques and exercises during these years. I can definitely see that there are positive results to my training, and how could there not be with regular physical exercise? However, I’m sure you understand that incessant drive that always keeps us striving for more.
I’ve been thinking about how to boost my workout results for quite some time. The problem is that I can’t give more time to practice as there are too many other commitments in my life. Simply changing exercise routines helps, but it’s not the kind of help that I needed to make each training more efficient. I admit I did all the research I could and talked to quite a few trainers to get their input.
The answer actually came to me when I was in a gym and saw a new guy on the treadmill wearing a pair of Bluetooth headphones. Such a simple thing, really, but it was the kick I needed to understand what my seemingly perfect workout routine was lacking. The technology.
We live in the 21st century and gadgets are such a major part of our lives that sometimes we don’t even notice how important they actually are. I made only two purchases and my trainings got not only more efficient but much more comfortable as well.
The things I bought were Bluetooth headphones and a fitness tracker.
Now, let me explain how these purchases made all the difference. The headphones were first. In fact, I bought them the very same evening as I managed to see how useful they actually were.
Admit it, listening to your iPod is the thing that often keeps you going through the routine exercise. For me, personally, music helps me stay focused on the workout and “relax” my mind while going through the motions. The right kind of music also boosts my drive and motivation.
However, the cord is an issue, and I’ve had no idea just how bothersome it was until I tried exercising without it. Believe me the change is huge. Even if you aren’t aware of it, subconsciously, your body is always alert for a mishap with a cord, so you don’t really move as freely as you think you do.
Bluetooth headphones solve this problem right away. Just try them and you’ll feel lighter and will still be able to do many demanding exercises while listening to your favorite tracks.
A fitness tracker was the most logical second choice and I now actually wonder how I managed to go without it for such a long time. This is the gadget that truly boosts the training efficiency as it allows you to track your heart rate. I’m not even talking about the other handy features, such as calorie counter, GPS route tracker, etc. Different devices offer a variety of features, so everyone can find exactly what they need. I’d hazard a guess that they would be even more helpful for those trying to lose weight as they allow you to see how many calories you shed every day, and it’s a great motivator.
Personally, I love it for the heart rate monitor that allows me to adjust my workout to specific heart rate zones. The efficiency of all cardio workouts, and especially my morning runs has increased greatly with the introduction of a small tracker bracelet. My trainer is happy, too as he feels confident that I won’t overwork myself when I can control my rate and stay in the 80 percent zone.
So, there you have it. We are a tech society and using gadgets in every aspect of our lives. Fitness shouldn’t be any different. I’ve tried it myself and I guarantee that including the right kind of electronics into your workout routine can boost your results.
