Some cool tales get told in ‘The Klondike Years’
I have read a good amount of Disney graphic novels lately. Each one has been a lot of fun to read and has taken me on some thrilling journeys. When I first heard about Uncle Scrooge: The Klondike Years I hoped I might get the chance to read it. I was able to get a digital copy of this graphic novel and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for this graphic novel here:
In a rip-roaring, multi-chapter saga complete in this issue, Scrooge himself narrates untold 1890s tales of his mining days in the Yukon! A rogues’ gallery including Soapy Slick, the Beagle Boys, Cobalt Blue, and Septimus Sharky are all set on Scrooge’s path by a mystery tycoon who wants to force him back to Scotland—for good! Along the way, the mighty miser tames bears, outswims riverboats, fights a Skagway hotel war… and helps Ratchet Gearloose test the first flying machine! (Wright Brothers? Never heard of ’em!)
I had a ton of fun reading this graphic novel. It has action, comedy, drama, suspense and a few surprises as the story moves forward. Along the way Scrooge made a few new friends and runs into some familiar enemies. Once this tale came to a close, the real adventure was able to finally begin. Fans of Uncle Scrooge will definitely want to check this graphic novel out. You can learn more about this graphic novel here.
