Spit at Romeo
I wished to kiss with sacred lip
You spoke three things divine
My passion and my coffee sip
Your quiet love and mine
I showed up at the meeting place
You bought three flowers instead
A mortal coil timid then base
A Montague I think God said
This is graceful and brilliant!
Thomas, thank you tremendously for your kind and intelligent responses.
It is so good to know that someone understands my poetry and feels it too.
You write fine, exceptionally good poetry.
I look forward to reading more of it.
