A great story is told in ‘Green Eggs and Ham Take a Hike’
Since I was a kid, I have been a fan of Dr Seuss. Cat out of Water was a wonderful graphic novel which told the next chapter in a beloved story. The Grinch Takes a Vacation had this character trying some new experiences out. When I heard about Green Eggs and Ham Take a Hike I looked forward to reading it. I was able to get a digital copy of this graphic novel and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for this graphic novel here:
Sam-I-Am’s grumpy best pal Walter is missing out on the great big world but Sam-I-Am is determined to make sure he doesn’t miss a thing! After all, that’s what best friends are for.
Walter doesn’t know what the big deal is—sure, it might be nice to have a green eggs and ham picnic on a hike, but doesn’t Sam-I-Am know about all of the bugs? And the flowers that make you sneeze? Or the rivers that block your way? No, Walter is not a fan of the outdoors, he certainly is not. And nothing Sam-I-Am will do or say will change his mind. Too bad for Walter, Sam-I-Am is always up for a challenge!
I had a tough time putting this graphic novel down. The illustrations were beautiful and really helped bring this story to life. We see these friends going on a journey together, and one of them is not happy about it. Yet as the day moves along they learn some amazing things about themselves. Once this graphic novel comes to a close life for these friends will be changed forever.
Green Eggs and Ham Take a Hike is out now. You can order this graphic novel on Amazon, at Barnes and Noble and on Bookshop.
