I like seeing these fathers playing dress up with their daughters. While the little girls are enjoying focusing on getting pretty, daddy doing the same seems to help remove the gender-specific norms the girls don’t yet understand.

NO real man would do that stuff. You’ll not find one of those dresses hanging in my closet…with a broken zipper that my wife had to help me do up, because its, um, in the back and I didn’t, like, want to ruin my nails. Was that one guy playing video games while she was painting his toe-nails? And did you ever notice that the most macho looking, beastly guys make the best princesses? Anyway. Hi DJ. I think I owe you a couple responses on other posts. I’ll find them. You made me smile, again. It’s nice to “hear” stories of real-life situations like these. Yes, I think you are right about teaching girls “man stuff.” I often wish my grandfather would have taught me how to use some of the tools in his workshop. He was a diesel mechanic by trade and general DIY man at home so he had plenty of special tools. Every little girl needs a good man in her life. I can almost instinctively pick out those that have.
