“Usana is a company that represents myself with what I would represent myself with, and that is true health and true wealth,” said Adian Valizan, 25-year old independent business owner. Usana creates and distributes vitamin supplements, meal replacements (ex. shakes), skin care products and healthy snacks. Adrian is somewhat new to Usana, but he believes in the company.
“It is something that I take myself, so it is easy to promote,” he said. Adrian encourages others to consume proper nutrition and take care of themselves. “I would say supplementing a good diet with the highest quality nutritional supplements is something I could recommend for everybody. It doesn’t take place of your diet but it supplements your diet.” According to Adrian, Usana creates some of the best supplements available today. “Usana holds themselves to such a high standard that even somebody like Dr. Oz would come out and publicly support the products. They don’t pay people other than their independent distributors to speak about the company.”
Over time, Adrian seeks to make enough money on a part-time basis to equal or exceed a full-time position. “I want to make enough passive residual income to replace a full-time job and to maintain a healthy body and mind with supplements I can trust.” He was brought to the company after a friend’s referral, and after seeing the lifestyle of an employee he was drawn in. He saw that individuals who invested enough into Usana were able to live well and give to charities. “I believe in that law of tithing. Right there you’re telling the universe that you have enough to give. That’s living in abundance. ”
His life is kept centered and balanced by yoga. “Yoga means union with the divine,” he continued, “it’s about tuning in to your higher self.” Adrian added, “That’s the part of you that relates more to God.” He described yoga as a part of his daily life. The various poses of yoga only represent its physical aspect, which is for body strengthening and organ cleansing. “There’s [also] the mental aspect, which increases your level of concentration and clarity, and there’s the spiritual aspect, which tunes your vibration to allow bliss to your experience.”Adrian insisted that his life is a work in progress. “I still ask myself who I am. What makes me who I am is that I don’t know what I don’t know.” He stated that he is still a beginner with yoga and he has much to learn.
Adrian wanted to close with the following statement for dreamers. “To me life is meant to be lived full of joy and your dreams should be fulfilling that natural instinctive calling to feel God.”
