I first heard about The Good Men Project through a fellow writer and editor. The conversations they are having about the changing roles of men in the 21st century are like no other conversations I have seen. Recently, I’ve been given an unexpected, but most welcomed opportunity to become more closely involved with GMP as an Editor. This windfall of an opportunity allows me room to grow as a writer. It also gives me an unending variety of resources and more opportunities for growth.
I’ve been watching as they develop Social Interest Groups–live phone calls about already difficult topics that people anywhere in the world could join.
Through GMP, I discovered there really is a site where male growth is not only accepted, but strongly encouraged. I can see how the Social Interest Groups will lead to more of those discoveries, for more people. To give people the opportunity to share their stories of growth and also their stories of struggles. Knowing they are not alone.
Now GMP has launched an IndieGoGo campaign to scale the Social Interest groups even bigger. To really re-invent media. To help people process a rapidly changing world with too much information. Real live conversations about what is important. This is exciting to me. To be an integral part of this group that is opening up a whole new way to participate in social media and ongoing issues, is simply incredible. I’m thrilled to support their efforts and I hope you will too. Check out their campaign at IndieGoGo. Share it or donate if you believe it is worthwhile as I do.
