100 Words on Love

What is love?

“Wow, you really don’t know what love is,” is a phrase I hear in my van somewhat regularly because we watch Disney’s Frozen quite often. Olaf goes on to explain that love is giving up what you want for someone else.

I appreciate this explanation of love and find it to be a relatively adequate starter for my young girl. But, if Olaf was capable of understanding (he is a snowman, after all) I would tell him that love isn’t just about one person constantly sacrificing. Love is about communication so that everyone is getting what they need to thrive.
