‘Peter Rabbit 2’ is out now on Blu-Ray
Films adaptations of books can be hit or miss. When they are done right they can bring an amazing world to life for all ages to enjoy. I can’t say I was blown away by the first Peter Rabbit movie, but it wasn’t terrible either. When I heard Peter Rabbit 2 was being made I had doubts about it. I was able to get a review copy of this sequel and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Peter Rabbit 2 here:
Bea, Thomas, and the rabbits have created a makeshift family, but despite his best efforts, Peter can’t seem to shake his mischievous reputation. Adventuring out of the garden, Peter finds himself in a world where his mischief is appreciated, but when his family risks everything to come looking for him, Peter must figure out what kind of bunny he wants to be.
This was actually a pretty good sequel. The story was better and a lot more fun to watch unfold. We see plenty of wild moments but these are grounded with genuine emotion from the characters. The soundtrack was not great with so many songs that didn’t really fit in this film at all. The story gets a little crazier in parts of the final act, but a strong ending makes up for this.
Peter Rabbit 2 is available now on Blu-Ray and DVD. You can follow this film on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
