We’ve all heard about the atrocities committed during the war and seen the scenes of death and destruction, but we seem to ignore these images as though they are normal or that they don’t matter. And yet war doesn’t just affect soldiers — it is an issue that concerns us all. War means shattered lives and communities both at home and abroad.
War means people are injured, killed, or displaced — war results in fear, trauma, and psychological distress. And war also impacts the economy, political stability, and global security — but still, people tolerate it. Why?
The answer is simple yet complex; societies that keep themselves apart are easily manipulated — by their leaders and especially by those who have an interest in conflicts around the world. This has caused the world to suffer from constant fighting. We are all trapped in a very negative spiral where the wars have resulted in more violent acts, which have led to more terror and even more wars.
This means we all get caught up in the grip of conflict. And it is not just for our survival, but also for the survival of our children and grandchildren that we need to do something about this issue.
Not all of us are responsible for the horrors we have witnessed. War is one of those things that has been unavoidable in our past and will continue to be so in the future. While we may not be able to prevent it, each of us has a role to play during times of war — we must protect the innocent and recognize that if a war were ever to break out tomorrow, it would affect everyone around the world. We must all become involved and take responsibility for each other and future generations.
Recently whenever I open my Instagram and Twitter, there are a lot of posts of casualties that are happening in the Russia and Ukraine war.
Whenever I see those crying little daughters and boys whose fathers are going to war, my heart melts, and I sometimes wonder why we don’t realize that war affects us all.
I feel the heartache they are experiencing for a few seconds, and I am sad that their fathers go away to war. We all should have sympathy for each other and see that everyone is suffering from this never-ending conflict worldwide.
Sadly, many problems today are caused by individual greed and selfishness rather than a more positive purpose. We don’t seem to care about each other at all — we care about our own needs, which is rare for the good of others.
Many people are not aware that if we were to consider the needs of others, this would make our own lives better as well. And yet most of us prefer to focus on ourselves and forget about anyone else who may suffer from the same issues that we are facing.
There are many things in life that we cannot control, but there are many things that we can change. We have to stop being so focused on ourselves and change our attitudes towards others.
We must realize that we are all connected; war, terrorism, and death affect everyone.
This world needs some humanity, not world wars
