Manifestation is the ability of an individual to embrace, act, or have some person, place or thing, appear in this individual’s consciousness, and sensory awareness, and have this person, place or thing, appear in a specific and particular way. The greatest manifestations are built around love.
Here is the essential introduction to this series of stories concerning love, and the art and science of Manifestation.
How to Master Manifestation
An introduction to the art and science of getting what you need

This story is concerned with individuals with a need for greater love but who seek limited human interaction, and deep introspection. They can experience these needs by using online forums wisely.
In the olden days (probably anytime before 2010), many seekers of spirituality went to monasteries, retreats or Ashrams to live and study. Here there was usually a headmaster and a system of practice that might include meditation, liturgy, various martial arts or specialized teachings such as the Japanese art of flower arranging or the Tea Ceremony.
All of these practices were designed to support the student in exploring and creating an environment for self-realization, actualization, greater love, and/or enlightenment. Zen monasteries were non-theistic and the focus was on expanding qualities such as sensitivity, awareness, mental clarity and clearer communication skills. These communities created strong support networks and offered mentoring.
How can one create a monastic environment in the digital age? We have learned that spirituality can mean different things to different people and yet a seeker is likely to focus on activities which motivate, inspire, heal, renew, lift up and comfort through means that might include material approaches but which somehow transcend materialism.
Though monasteries still exist, it is less likely that a “child” of the digital age could or would easily be drawn away from multitasking, smartphones, Google, Facebook and other digital diversions to live in a monastery.
It is my belief that one can choose to create a Monastery of the Social Network using digital tools. This is a way to create an external monastery that can provide many of the qualities one can experience at a traditional monastery without actually doing so. Here, you can fully engage others on the Wisdom Path, supporting each other to maintain a more consistent Practice.
I have found that among the best ways to explore the development of a Social Network Monastery is by reaching out to friends or strangers that have a common interest in self-knowledge. The internet is filled with individuals who will seek others to explore, discuss and share the journey of the Wisdom Path especially through “groups” of common interest on various social network platforms.
The Wisdom Triangle
In the process of reaching out to others, you will soon find that those also seeking to create this type of community use similar words and terms. We discussed this in a previous talk on specialized language. One of the core elements in creating an online monastery, a Wisdom Community, is the shifting in specific ways of using language and sharing a common culture. Both language and culture are essential elements in any proactive community. This is because written language and culture consist of ways to do things that are constructed and perpetuated through social interactions especially online. As a child, you acquired language and basic cultural norms of society by interacting with peers and members of a cultural group. As an adult seeking to create a Wisdom Community, you will do the same.
There are many steps that you can take to create a Wisdom Community. I have begun to integrate approaches I have drawn from A.I. and NLP to move the process forward. I have found it is usually best to begin with two other individuals and create a Social Networking Monastery of three. This is a Wisdom Triangle. What can be better than individuals with a common proactive vision? Because of the push and pull of daily living, as well as the reactive and unaware world around us, it is easy to have breakdowns in maintaining consistency in your Practice. One of the core behaviors that humans are hard-wired to express is the desire to connect with others, to create community. The Wisdom Triangle is a powerful tool for creating productive, effective and abundant environments.

An effective Wisdom Triangle can help you transcend the personal crises that arise in day to day living. Many people have very difficult lives even when committed to being more effective in every way. Humans by nature get some gratification from helping or serving others. It is true that a person’s efforts are more or less insignificant unless he or she is linked with others, all striving to the same end. A core element of your Wisdom Practice will be to create community and serve that community as you engage in the five pillars of your daily practice.
