Shayne Fitz-Coy, CEO of Rustic Pathways has commented:
“It is fascinating to see which of America’s landmarks appear on Instagram the most.
“It is no surprise that so many of them are in New York; the state is full of American culture and heritage, with beautiful sights, such as the Statue of Liberty and Central Park, that deserve to be celebrated and shared with the world.
“There are also some stunning destinations that just missed the mark, such as the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana and the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington. While landmarks in more popular destinations such as New York or California naturally accumulate more social media posts, the high ranking of landmarks in less visited states highlights their charm and appeal.
“From the Las Vegas Strip to the Golden Gate Bridge, these landmarks truly highlight the best of what America has to offer, for locals and tourists alike.”
