‘Despicable Me 4’ is available now on Digital
The first Despicable Me movie was a surprise hit. It had comedy, drama, action and took audiences on an exciting adventure. This franchise has had a few sequels and a couple of prequels and each one has been rather good. When I heard Despicable Me 4 was coming out on Digital, I looked forward to finally seeing it. I was able to get a digital code for this sequel and here is my thoughts on it.

You can read the plot for Despicable Me 4 here:
Gru, Lucy and their girls welcome a new member to the family – Gru Jr. – who is intent on tormenting his dad, as a new nemesis shows up and forces the family to go on the run.
This latest blockbuster chapter in the biggest global animated franchise in history is packed with nonstop action and filled with Illumination’s signature subversive humor.

This wasn’t a terrible film, but I can’t say it blew my mind either. There are some hilarious scenes, and as usual the Minions steal a scene more than once. The inclusion of the Mega Minions felt unnecessary and tended to drag the plot down. In this movie the villain was rather odd and didn’t appear to pose as much of a threat as those this family have faced before. Once this story comes to a close this family ends up being closer than ever. Some people will enjoy this film, but it won’t be for everyone.
