A New Documentary tells the story of three black brother from Detroit who, in 1971, created a punk rock sound a decade ahead of its time.
At a time and a place when Motown was dominating the black music scene, three Detroit brothers began playing rock-n-roll and they called themselves, “Death.” The sound they formed was a decade ahead of its time— years before the Ramones and the Sex Pistols—but it was created by three young black men, who refused to change their name; they were turned down from every major record label. Running out of money to finish their record everything went into the attic, only to be discovered years later.
