‘Big George Foreman’ is out now on Blu-Ray
I enjoy watching biographical films sometimes. When they are done right they can do a great job telling an amazing true story. When I heard about Big George Foreman I was hoping I might get to check this film out. I was able to get a review copy of this movie and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Big George Foreman here:
The miraculous story of the once and future heavyweight champion of the world. Fueled by an impoverished childhood, Foreman channels his anger into becoming the World Heavyweight Champion, followed by a near-death experience that takes him from the ring to the pulpit. But when he sees his community struggle, he reclaims his title, becoming the oldest and most improbable heavyweight champion ever.
This was a pretty good film. We see a man who overcomes much to become the heavyweight champion of the world. When something derails those plans, they find a new calling and for a while it gives their life new meaning. Yet as this film comes to a close, we see this man defy the odds to do something that nobody thought was possible. ‘Big George Foreman: A Look at the Making of the Film’ has the cast and crew talk about the process of bringing this movie to life. ‘Toe to Toe: Foreman and Ali’ has some of the cast talking about playing these iconic characters and tells a bit about the real life friendship between these two champions. There is also a hilarious Gag Reel and some good deleted scenes.
Big George Foreman is out now on Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital. You can follow this film on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
