The lack of diversity in all U.S. media is obvious to anyone paying attention to that sort of thing, but there are always deniers who live to loudly proclaim ‘nuh-uh’.

For those who still want to say ‘nuh-uh’: Yes, I’m aware of Storm and Professor X in X-Men. I’m also aware of Mace Windu in the Star Wars prequels. So on and so forth. For those characters that you feel have gone uncounted, there are (as far as I can tell) two reasons for this: the movie in which this character appears is not one of the top 100 domestic grossing sci-fi/fantasy films or the character was not considered to be a main character.
