Finding Dory is a heartwarming sequel that fans will want to own
I really enjoyed Finding Dory when it came out. It was a really good sequel that did a great job telling the story of this forgetful blue tang. Even though it is a sequel to Finding Nemo this film found a way to stand on its own. The Blu-Ray combo pack is coming out this week and continues the underwater adventure and comes with hours of immersive bonus features. I was able to get a review copy and here is what I thought of it.
Here is the plot for Finding Dory:
When Dory, the forgetful blue tang (Ellen DeGeneres), suddenly remembers she has a family who may be looking for her, she, Marlin (Albert Brooks) and Nemo (Hayden Rolence) take off on a life-changing quest to find them. With help from Hank (Ed O’ Neill) , a cantankerous octopus; Bailey (TY Burrell), a beluga whale who’s convinced his biological sonar skills are on the fritz; and Destiny (Kaitlin Olsen), a nearsighted whale shark.
I really liked Finding Dory. The story it tells is a touching one that at moments will tug at your heart strings. I loved learning more about Dory and how she became the fish fans know and love. The special effects are amazing, they really help bring all the different locations to colorful life. It was nice seeing some familiar characters and new ones that make this a wonderful sequel. Overall it is another amazing Pixar/Disney film that all ages can enjoy together. To learn more about Finding Dory head over to this website.
This Finding Dory Blu-Ray has a ton of amazing special features. “Dory’s Theme” Has the director, composer and musical director discuss all the musical elements that shaped this quirky and joyful theme. My favorite though had to be all the amazing deleted scenes. Each ones was introduced by the director Andrew Stanton and many of them would have changed this film drastically. Overall this is an amazing Blu-Ray that Disney fans of all ages will want to add to their collection.
Finding Dory swims home just in time for the holidays on Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere (DMA) on Oct.25 and on Blu-ray 3D™, Blu-ray, DVD and On-Demand on Nov. 15. You can follow Finding Dory on Facebook and Twitter.
