The new Hugo and Friends book is full of poetry for the young and young at heart
Children’s books today are very different from when I was growing up. It seems they all want to have some kind of message that is important yet simple enough for kids to understand. A big problem with our country today is trash and how it affects the environment. But how can kids be informed of this issue? Well the new Hugo and Friends book may have found a way. It pages are full of illustrations and poems that try their best to tell kids about this problem and why it is so important. I was able to get a review copy of this book and here is what I thought of it.

Hugo and Friends is unlike anything I have read lately. The illustrations are amazing and bring each section to colorful life. The poems are simple yet they do a good job getting their message across. My favorite poem has to be ‘Roundabout’. It has a good message, it flows well and the illustrations are just beautiful. This is a book kids need to read, they will learn some much from it. If you want to learn more about Hugo and Friends click on this website.
