See how a holiday tradition began in ‘Klaus’
Holiday films are a common thing this time of year. Many of the TV networks love churning out specials and movies. Most of the time they can be pretty good, but not always. When I heard about Klaus I was hoping I would get to watch it. I was able to get a screener of this film and this is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for ‘Klaus’ here:
When Jesper distinguishes himself as the postal academy’s worst student, he is stationed on a frozen island above the Arctic Circle, where the feuding locals hardly exchange words let alone letters. Jesper is about to give up when he finds an ally in local teacher Alva, and discovers Klaus, a mysterious carpenter who lives alone in a cabin full of handmade toys. These unlikely friendships return laughter to Smeerensburg, forging a new legacy of generous neighbors, magical lore and stockings hung by the chimney with care.
This was a fun holiday movie to watch. The animation was amazing, and the characters were quite likable. This film gave this magical figure a new origin story, and it was a blast to watch it unfold. When a new tradition came to this small town, it changed things there forever. The ending was a little surprising, but helped put a magical twist on this film. If you are looking for a holiday movie to watch you might want to check this one out.
Klaus is available now on Netflix. You can follow this movie on Facebook.
