PES 2017 will be a game unlike anything players have ever seen before
It has been years since I have played a sports game. I enjoyed them on the Sega Genesis although I was never that good. I had fun playing Mega Man Soccer but again didn’t do that well and therefore had little fun playing it. I have played a few sports games since then but have not been that interested in them. Well I was at E3 this year and saw a room run by Konami. I know that name from some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games I loved playing as a kid so I decided to check it out. They had a game called PES 2017 which is a new soccer game coming Fall 2016. I had a chance to play it and here are my thoughts on this game.
You can read the description for PES 2017 below:
Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 sees the return of the multi-award winning franchise complete with an abundance of new features and quality improvements. PES 2017 aims to retain its title of ‘Best Sports Game’ for a third year, as voted across the world at games shows and by major media outlets in 2014 and 2015.
This year’s tagline (creation concept) ‘Control Reality’ encapsulates the focus of this year’s product, taking the award winning gameplay to a new level by achieving interactive reality in both control and its new standard of authentic visuals. The immersion in the game presentation and interactive, tactical elements enhance the experience for the player, as the product aims to maximize the fun in playing against any player in every way. The industry leading Fox Engine again powers the series to reach new heights across the large amount of improvements, and with PES 2017 users will be able to experience real football for the first time in a video game.
There are many things players will love about this game. PES 2017 comes with the advent of something they call a ‘Real Touch’ system. This will determine the different ways players will receive a ball, dependent on the height and power of their pass, and the ability of that player. The new ‘ Precise Pass’ system further emphasizes PES 2017‘s use of new ball physics, as players make passes based on the runs of other teammates before placing a threaded ball in their path. Goalkeepers have been completely overhauled producing multiple saves, dominating the penalty box and looking to close down threats via perfect positioning. There will also be a new ‘Adaptive AI’ that looks to counter repeated playing patterns from the opposition, doubling up markers on integral players, snuffing out wide attacks and interrupting passing play.
These new game play additions are complemented by a stunning level of graphic detail. PES 2017 benefits from the addition of hundreds of new animations, ensuring that passes and clearances are met fluidly, and that collisions and tussles are realistically recreated. Player likeness are also taken to a new level with ever-more famous players added to the rosters in near-photogenic quality with the running styles and individual attributes that they show in real life. Smaller aesthetic touches are also abound with players’ breath fogging in cold conditions, goalposts visibly rattling as the ball strikes them and all new lighting and stadium effects. PES 2017 continues an astounding run of form for the Konami title. Its stunning visual, beautifully realized animation, improved referees and in-game tactical switches in both open play and set play situations create a new benchmark in soccer simulation. PES 2017 will be available on the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC and comes out September 15,2016. You can follow PES 2017 on Facebook and Twitter.
