Someone arrives to test the crew in ‘I Excretus’
Last time on Star Trek: Lower Decks, Mariner and Boimler went on a simple mission together. Things got bad when they crash landed on a desolate looking planet. Having a deadly supercomputer with them only adds an unstable element to this mission. When it looked like Boimler was being swayed by this thing Mariner feared the worse. Yet as this episode came to a close Boimler did something that Mariner did not see coming. Now someone arrives at the USS Cerritos to test the crew in ‘I Excretus’. I was able to watch this episode and here is my thoughts on it.

A consultant arrives to test the crew on this episode. Tendi, Mariner, Rutherford and Boimler are pumped when they find out they get to have command duties during these drills. Right away they find out these roles are tougher than they ever imagined them to be. When the results of the crew start coming in they aren’t looking good. When Captain Freeman and Mariner learn a shocking truth it looks like the USS Cerritos might be done for. Thankfully Boimler ends up doing something which gives some of the crew a chance to save the day.
