The Middle ‘The Confirmation’ Looks at the comedic sides of family
Until recently I had never watched The Middle. Now that I have watched a few episodes I really like it. It has wacky characters and yet there is plenty of heartfelt moments at its core. The newest episode ‘The Confirmation’ adds another layer to its narrative. I was able to watch a screener of it and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the premise for ‘The Confirmation’ here:
After being reminded that Brick was never confirmed, Frankie and Mike send him to Reverend Tim Tom’s Wilderness Jesus Jam weekend camp to brush up on his religious knowledge in preparation for the blessed event. But Brick is shocked to discover that his bunk mate is no other than Blake Ferguson – the boy he was switched at birth with and raised by his parents for the first month of his life. Meanwhile, when Axl asks Lexie to keep their budding relationship a secret, Sue and Brad mistakenly think that she is depressed over being scorned by Axl and attempt to set her up on a blind date.
I really liked ‘The Confirmation’. It has its share of silly moments, some well written comedy and some genuine heartfelt moments. There are a few good surprises thrown in that I thought really helped make this episode a great one. The cast do a splendid job on this show. They are the reason it is worth watching, because all of their performances are top notch. If you enjoy a good family comedy then this is a show you would enjoy.
