‘The Toxic Avenger’ Is out now in theaters
I have seen most of the original Toxic Avenger movies. They are wild and take people on a pretty weird adventure. But they are fun to watch and do tell a rather engaging story. Like many people, when news of a remake came out I doubted it would be any good. Instead it got lots of great buzz and yet for a moment it seemed like most people would never get the chance to see it. At SDCC this remake premiered, but sadly I was unable to see it. I was able to get a screener for this remake and here is my thoughts on it.

When a downtrodden janitor, Winston Gooze, is exposed to a catastrophic toxic accident, he’s transformed into a new kind of hero: The Toxic Avenger. Now, Toxie must rise from outcast to savior, taking on ruthless corporate overlords and corrupt forces who threaten his son, his friends, and his community. In a world where greed runs rampant… justice is best served radioactive.

This was a great movie. There was action, drama, suspense and some clever comedic moments. We see the life of a man changed forever once a freak accident occurs. They decide to take on a dangerous corporation and defeating them won’t be easy. Thankfully they will have some help, and might make a friend or two along the way. Once this tale comes to a close, life for this man and his son will never be the same.
