These friends have a weird work day in ‘Day Trippers’
Last time on The Bold Type, Jane got a performance review from one of her writers that took her by surprise. Sutton was trying to move on from her impending divorce, but people at work were making it harder than she wanted it to be. Kat meets up with Adena and notices something has changed about her and she doesn’t really like it. After Jane works things out with one writer something unexpected happens with another writer on her staff. As this episode comes to a close Sutton says something important at a work function. Now these three friends make a poor decision in ‘Day Trippers’. I was able to watch a screener of this episode and here is what I thought of it.

Jane, Sutton and Kat are all pretty stressed out by work in ‘Day Trippers’. Kat knows of a way they might get some clarity about things. It isn’t the most conventional way to do it but they are willing to try it. This leads to Sutton and Jane having some odd moments at work. Kat meanwhile gets the clarity she needed which helps her to make a big decision. A talk between Andrew and Jane helps her come up with a great way to be a good mentor to one of her writers.
