
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to Screen “Dead Poets Society” in Memoriam of Robin Williams During World Suicide Prevention Week on Sept. 10.

NEW YORK, NY, September 3, 2014 – The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, in partnership with movie/cause site eflixir.com and charity shopping site We-Care.com, is memorializing Robin Williams and promoting mental health awareness with a screening of Dead Poets Society in New York during National Suicide Prevention Week, on Wednesday, September 10.
Beginning at 7:30 p.m., the event at the French Institute’s Florence Gould Hall Theatre will include a screening of Williams’ beloved film, preceded by a short panel discussion featuring national leaders from the mental health field on the subjects of battling depression and suicide prevention.

All proceeds will benefit the AFSP to fund research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy and support survivors of suicide loss. Led by CEO Robert Gebbia and headquartered in New York, AFSP has 67 local chapters with events nationwide.
Eflixir.com will donate $1.00 to AFSP for every Robin Williams film streamed on the eflixir.com site throughout the month of September.
We-Care.com will be featuring AFSP as Cause of the Month, encouraging new users to support AFSP with their online shopping.
