Psychologist | Deafblind Studies | Artist - Writing from the spaces between observation, energy, and quiet understanding.

I’m Anagha Raj — a psychologist and deafblind intervenor by training, a writer by instinct, and a seeker by nature.
My work and life have stretched across India and Canada, through classrooms, organisations, and quiet rooms where I learned that healing is not always about doing sometimes, it’s about sitting still long enough to meet yourself again or simply being there for someone else.
Over the past few years, I’ve worked with children and adults navigating the worlds of tactile cognition, trauma, and language. Where silence, touch, and emotion intersect in profoundly human ways.
Beyond my professional life, I am an artist drawn to the patience of fine pen sketches and the fluid uncertainty of watercolor both of which mirror how I approach life itself: layered, imperfect, and Always Evolving.
As a first-generation immigrant and a seeker of purpose, starting this space on Medium wasn’t just about sharing ideas it was about returning to myself through words. Writing, for me, is not an act of performance but of becoming. Something that I feel more at ease with now, as I have chosen to take it beyond my personal journals.
I’ve learned that resilience is quieter than people think. It appears that staying kind in the face of abandonment (which is indeed challenging), choosing stillness over reaction, and still daring to start over again and again.
Hope it spreads like a ripple effect!
