About Joe Amaral

Joe Amaral has over fifty poems and stories published worldwide, including 3Elements Review, Arcadia Magazine, Crow Hollow 19, The New Verse News, Rise Up Review, Writers of the Portuguese Diaspora and Zingara Poet. Joe won the 2014 Ingrid Reti Literary Award. Joe works 48-hour shifts as a paramedic and his wife is a surgical nurse. They have two saucy daughters and host a rotating cast of foreign exchange students, allowing their young family an amazing travel-in-reverse experience.
