About Romina Pacheco
Romina A. Pacheco was born and raised in the Caribbean city of Maracay, Venezuela. She has a M.Ed in Social Justice Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Romina is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the department of Curriculum and Instruction at New Mexico State University where she is studying Critical Pedagogies and Women’s Studies. Her research interests include: Participatory Action Research/Research as Praxis, Critical Multicultural Education, Black/Latina Feminist Theory, and Intergroup Dialogues. Romina is the proud mother of a vibrant 6 year old that reminds her, and her partner Pierre, to stay in touch with their humanity on a daily basis.
