Sam is a chef, teacher, and seeker based in San Francisco. He has been an active participant in the sustainable food and ethical investing communities for the past six years in both New York City and San Francisco. He runs Stir Consulting, a culinary consultancy that works with restaurants and food businesses to develop and implement menus and recipes highlighting sustainable, seasonal, and transparent sourcing. But Sam's real expertise, and impetus to write what he does, lie in his personal experience as an employee, freelancer, and consultant.
