Prior to founding SFDN, Susan had over a decade of experience as a nurse in pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, and labor and delivery. In addition to nursing, Susan has worked as an attorney in the areas of employment discrimination, sexual harassment, and medical malpractice. She also holds a BA in History from UC Berkeley and a Masters in Public Health from Columbia University.
