Tony Estrada

Tony Estrada is a Latino writer, producer, director, and speaker. Starting from an early age writing comedic poetry, and self-publishing a Saturday newspaper for the street he lived on, Tony has always been captivated by telling thought-provoking stories of empowerment, unity, and connection. Writing and speaking through a “brown-ish” lens, Tony graduated from the University of Michigan in 2012 and became a teacher at his high school alma mater, where he taught film, photography, and English Literature. His writing has been published in online periodicals such as, Thought Catalog, The Good Men Project, and Tiny Buddha. Tony’s stories often tie everyday personal interactions to metaphors for personal growth. His films have played at film festivals across the world and spawned several projects in different stages of development, including two books that are currently being pitched. In his spare time, Tony plays piano, dances ballet, and practices karate.
