Writing a CV is a very standardized exercise. How do you write a CV and post it so that recruiters want to see you and convince them that you are the ideal candidate? Here are a few tips.
GIVE IT A TITLE FIRST
At the top, name your CV indicating the title of the position you are aiming for. For example: “Web marketing officer”. This title is important because recruiters won’t guess which job you’re applying for.
You can also put professional objectives in the title, such as becoming a technician objective “in the case of an apprenticeship contract”.
This title and all the text of your CV are very important because more and more companies are using keyword analysis tools to screen the applications they receive. Think carefully about the terminology used in the title. For example, we no longer talk about cashiers in supermarkets, but cashiers.

CHOOSE A CV MODEL… EASY

LIST YOUR EXPERIENCES IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER
In your CV, you must always go back in time: in your list of different experiences, always put the most recent experience first. If you are a recent graduate, do not hesitate to detail the skills you acquired during your training or during your internship/apprenticeship contract. On the other hand, if you have reached a certain level, focus on your most important recent experience. The rules for CVs in English are the same.
PAY ATTENTION TO THE LAYOUT
The layout of your CV is almost as important as the information it contains. Therefore, please save time processing your request. If the form of your CV firstly attracts attention and interest, it can also allow you to highlight certain information and facilitate understanding of the consultation.
If you’re not using a resume builder, but doing everything from A to Z, consider using boxes or lines to separate headings and break out paragraphs to avoid large blocks of text. The more organized your resume is, the easier it will be to read.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR INTERESTS
Only write this column if you have regular events that you can talk about in the interview.
Show your personality and vitality by choosing your activities as precisely as possible. Explain in which sport you practice, if you are in a club if you are competitive…
Some recruiters dwell on this topic because the qualifications are usually the same among applicants. Instead of writing a list of the 10 countries you like to travel with, it is better to designate the country that gives you the most points.
This part is not compulsory, so avoid talking about it in general terms, such as “reading, filming, going out with friends”. Recruiters try to understand your personality, so be specific.
Recruiters can enjoy playing a sport. For example, if you are applying for a safety and security specialty, then a combat sport.
