Reid Heidenry grew up in St. Louis, Missouri but always wanted to live somewhere that would give him an opportunity to grow and live a balanced lifestyle. While he appreciates his foundation and family-oriented values from growing up in the midwest, Heidenry has been in love with Miami since the second he arrived.
Heidenry chose the University of Miami for college and even did the high jump on the track team. He says that Miami is the best city due to its lack of state income tax, quality of life, and variety of activities. After graduating from college, Heidenry worked as an agent with Next and eventually transitioned to real estate.
Sixteen years later and Heidenry is the number one real estate agent at Sotheby’s Miami Beach. He says that being consistent and disciplined is what has contributed most to his success. When he started in the industry, he was very young and his only network was from college. He worked hard and always strived to learn as much as possible along the way. While many people jump around from career to career, Heidenry never planned on doing anything else, and his consistency and discipline eventually turned into expertise.
He quickly became the go-to for fashion clients looking to purchase real estate in Miami thanks to his time as an agent and network of fashion industry friends. He takes pride in the trust that he builds with clients, and this pays off when clients refer friends to Heidenry thanks to this trust.
Heidenry is very excited about the future of the Miami real estate market because the city is still quite young compared to other major cities. “When I was in school, there was no Brickell or Wynwood,” says Heidenry. There is a tremendous amount of room for Miami to continue to grow and he is eager to help clients find the best fit for them and their families.
“If I could buy stock in Miami, I would. Buying real estate is buying stock in Miami,” he continues. As New Yorkers began fleeing the city during the pandemic, business picked up for Heidenry. He says that COVID gave New Yorkers the extra push they needed to make the move south. While Miami was seen largely as a party city in the past, business professionals are now taking the city seriously as a place they can work from as well.
Heidenry is considered one of the top real estate agents under the age of 40 in Miami and Miami Beach. To get in touch with Reid regarding real estate, contact him here. Follow his Instagram to get an inside look at his life and all the best things about Miami.
