My business ventures have taken me on a rollercoaster.
Rollercoasters terrified me as a teenager. And that was embarrassing. We never went to the amusement park without girls. That was wonderful, of course. It was also not. When you’re terrified of rollercoasters like I was, “amusement park” becomes a tragic misnomer!
My fear of rollercoasters eventually evolved into pure excitement.
I stopped holding onto the seat or the bar or the person next to me as we twisted and turned and dove through the ride. I embraced the chaos, I suppose, and the ride became much more enjoyable.
My business life is somewhere in between fear and excitement. I’m gradually loosening my death grip on the safety bar. And wouldn’t you know it, the ride is becoming more enjoyable.
Are you afraid of rollercoasters?
Or do they excite you?
